Classification of Memory Cards

Memory card which is used to store data files, movies, softwares, pictures are coming with various classifications and various models depends on the usage.

Memory card for Mobile phones:
Memory card for mobile phones are classified with the capacity of data storage. It starts from 1 GB to 16 GB of memory capacity. This is mainly used to store pictures, videos, etc. This memory card is very small in size like a sim card.

Memory card for Digital camera:
In previous days, Memory card for digital camera is different from mobile phones. The size of memory card for Digital camera is larger than memory card of mobile phones. In later stage, the memory card is same as that of Digital camera and mobile phones.

Memory card for Computer
Memory card can be classified as RAM,ROM and Permenant storage devices.
RAM: Random Access Memory is fixed in Mother Board which is used for storing temporary data. The momory is allocated into pages depends on the storage capacity. Capacity of 256 MB, 512 MB, 1GB and 2GB

ROM: Read Only Memory which is used to store the permenant data which can be used for BIOS (Basic Input Output System) data. This data cannot be deleted. This is used during systems startup

Permenance Storage devices:
This is classified as Hard disk with minimum capacity of 40DB and maximum capacity of 200 GB available in market. This hard disk comes with external and also internal.

Pendrive is also one of the storage device which also starts with 256 MB to various capacity.
